We have an exciting opportunity for a high performing Human Resources Business Partner to join our dynamic human resources team and growing organization. You will be a trusted advisor that supports leaders and their teams in the implementation and delivery of HR programs including employee onboarding, talent and performance management, employee relations, compensation, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, compliance, and other day to day HR activities for the organization. You will work with senior leaders and their teams to identify short and long-term needs and talent requirements to develop and implement tailored workforce strategies and programs to develop and engage talent. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of Underwriters Laboratories as you:
Work with senior leaders to identify short and long-term needs and talent requirements to develop and implement tailored workforce strategies and programs to develop and engage talent. Participate in workforce planning and collaborate with talent acquisition in drafting and/or reviewing job descriptions and participating in offer preparation and negotiations. Lead employee onboarding process, collaborating across departments to ensure a positive and engaging experience for new hires, accelerating employees' performance in their new roles, and supporting a seamless process for hiring leaders. Facilitate ongoing and annual performance reviews and conversations, identifying and encouraging professional development, and/or addressing performance concerns in a timely a compliant manner. Collaborate with leaders during the annual compensation review process to ensure alignment between organizational and individual performance and rewards, and to promote equity among team members. Coach leaders and employees on the organization's mission and core values, encouraged behaviors, and HR practices that build a culture of high performance, teamwork, and respect. Develop metrics and implement regular and ad-hoc reporting to monitor and communicate the results and effectiveness of HR processes, and proactively address areas of improvement as required. Participate in and/or lead initiatives to design and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs, and perform other duties as assigned. What makes you a great fit:

High degree of curiosity to learn about the mission and impact of the organization and the areas of specialization of its professionals. Sound judgment and ability to handle sensitive employee information and situations with discretion and confidentiality, utilizing policies and procedures to guide appropriate action. Ability to influence others to action by translating organizational values, ideas, and priorities into tangible activities that people support. Business acumen with ability to translate business needs into HR requirements. Professional experience and education requirements for the role include:
Bachelor's degree with six years of experience in human resources, with demonstrated success in most or all of the following areas:
employee onboarding, talent and performance management, employee relations, compensation, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and HR compliance. Experience in research, academic, scientific environment, or professional services organizations is preferred. Experience coaching leaders and employees through complex organizational, performance and employee relations issues. Developing constructive relationships and working collaboratively and effectively across a diverse employee population and establishing trust and credibility with leaders at all levels of the organization. Maintaining in-depth understanding of legal requirements related to day-to-day HR and people management, identifying risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Proficiency with MS Office, advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are a plus. UL has COVID-19 protocols and policies in place to ensure the safety of our employees, customers and clients. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
