The Grant Governance & Development Manager is primarily responsible for:
Identifying and sourcing grant opportunities. Partnering with the businesses and other stakeholders in applying for grants and preparing bids / proposals. Partnering with the businesses and other stakeholders on the execution and delivery of won grants. Managing, administering, and coordinating the grant activities across TIC. Ensuring proper governance of end-to-end grant activities according to proper government guidelines. The Grant Governance & Development Manager will work with all groups within Testing Inspection and Certification (TIC) and across UL on all grant opportunities. He or she will need to understand the various businesses under TIC and work with the Not For Profit team to ensure alignment on grant applications. He or she will also be responsible for all internal and external audits for the grants that are secured. The Grant Governance & Development Manager will need to work with limited supervision and guidance. JOB
Responsibilities:
Identifies and sources grant opportunities. Partners with the businesses and other stakeholders in applying for grants and preparing bids / proposals (RFPs). Partners with the businesses and other stakeholders on the execution and delivery of won grants. Manages all budgets and negotiations as required for each contract. Manages the administration of all grant activities (e.g., tracking resources involved, managing fringe / non-fringe, handling overall documentation, handling bill-back, tracking billable hours, etc.). Coordinates grant initiatives across UL (between For Profit and Not For Profit entities). Ensures that all end-to-end grant activities comply with proper government guidelines. Communicates the status of budgets and contracts with key internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner. Elevates issues to the proper stakeholders (especially for issues impacting project quality and timelines) and provides recommendations on how to address. Manages and tracks all contracts from initial request to contract generation, negotiation, approval, execution, archival, and contract lifecycle. Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to (as appropriate). Maintains a flexible approach to address issues innovatively and proactively. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices Performs other duties as directed. What makes you a great fit:
University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor's degree) in Engineering or Finance or a related discipline 5-7 years experience in contract review, drafting and negation preferred, with experience in budget development and contract negotiation a plus Government contracting and other Federal government administrative experience (e.g., Systems for Award Management registrations) Ability to handle contract negotiations with minimal supervision Financially oriented Ability to work across the organization with members that may or may not understand the requirements of grant work Good project handling and communication skills Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and ability to take ownership of assigned project to meet or exceed expectations Motivated to perform high quality work, while demonstrating a high degree of accuracy and flexibility Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook. Occasional overnight travel as necessary for meetings, training or audits. Opportunity to join National Grants Management Association (NGMA) as part of this position. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Business DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
