After School Program Assistant

Functions:
Under the direction of the KidCare Director, the assistant is responsible for helping out with activities and games for participants in the program.
The KidCare assistant must provide the participants with a leadership role, and be a positive role model to them.
The assistant is responsible for organizing and leading daily activities.
Immediate Supervisor:
PM staff are responsible to the KidCare Coordinator and KidCare Director
Qualifications:
Must be at least 15 years of age.
Applicants under 16 must have valid work permit.
Previous experience working with elementary aged children is preferred.
Be a self started and preform with little supervision.
Possess the ability to follow written and oral directions.
Must be honest, in good health, accurate, have neat appearance, and a courteous manner.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provide participants with the appropriate leadership during the program.
Prepare snacks and supplies for the participants.
Plan activities that incorporate program goals.
Provide a warm, caring, and safe atmosphere for participants.
Maintain open communication with staff and school personnel.
Engage with parents during the drop off and pick up process.
Attend staff meetings.
Maintain a positive attitude towards staff, participants, and the school.
Report any problems which arise with participants, other employees, or the school to the Coordinator and Director.
Keep the space used neat and orderly.
Proactively respond to any issues and concerns.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Hours and Compensation:
The position of KidCare assistant is a part time position paid the 15th and last of each month.
The hourly rate for the PM Assistant is $18.

Schedule consists of 3:
15 to 6:
00 PM daily, Monday-Friday.
