The Global Logistics Specialist will play a critical role in our continued Supply Chain growth.
With a network spanning multiple Distribution and Home Delivery Centers, we are in an exciting time of transformation.
The Global Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the daily Global Logistics Operations between multiple partners across international and domestic verticals with the focus on managing and auditing freight payment execution.
This includes, but is not limited to:
weekly invoices, ocean invoices, credit memos, chargebacks, and merchandise claims.
This is an on-site position (Hybrid, 3 days per week) based out of our Northbrook, IL office A day in the life as a Global Logistics Specialist Review and manage all 3rd party invoices submitted for payment through third party bill payment systems.
Accurately enter vendor/invoice information, ensure payment terms are appropriate to maintain data integrity and ensure timely payment execution, using 3rd party billing software.
To act as a liaison between vendors, merchandising teams, DC operations and external transportation partners for the execution of global shipping.
Manage importation of product by working and managing external vendors such as Ocean liners, 3rd party logistics providers, and dray carriers What you'll bring to the table Strong understanding of various modes of transportation with a focus on global shipping terminology.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Strong analytical and problem-solving skills We'd love to hear from you if you have A minimum of 3 years experience in global logistics (import or export operations) Accounts Payable experience with emphasis in processing and auditing ocean invoices Experience resolving invoice discrepancies through 3rd party pay systems Infor Nexus or similar Purchase Order management systems experience required AS400 experience a plus College diploma preferred or equivalent work experience #li-hybrid Job Type:
