They're an industrial manufacturing organization with a niche product offering with applications over a variety of manufacturing capacities.
Having experienced a 25% increase to their revenue in the last year, they're currently looking to add on a Controller to support the CFO and VP of Accounting due to this growth.
Job DescriptionController
Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making purposes.
Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to establish financial goals and targets.
Develop accurate forecasts based on market trends, operational performance, and strategic initiatives.
Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Manage cash flow and liquidity by forecasting cash requirements and optimizing working capital.
Oversee banking relationships and maintain compliance with debt covenants.
Implement effective treasury strategies to mitigate financial risks, including managing investments, evaluating financing options, and optimizing capital structure.
Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors.
Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures to maintain integrity and accuracy of financial data.
Partner with operations and supply chain teams to optimize cost structures and improve inventory management.
Analyze product costs and margins to identify opportunities for cost reduction and profitability enhancement.
Work closely with tax advisors to develop tax strategies that minimize the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws.
Prepare and review tax filings, including corporate income tax returns and sales tax returns.
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and capabilities.

The Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
