This person will be the primary assistant for a broad array of project managers and technicians and will require a high degree of organization, and exceptional time management and interpersonal skills. The Technical Assistant works under the supervision of the lead JTC Administrative Associate, a Project Manager or a Senior Technician and will conduct administrative tasks, routine tasks in the laboratory and occasionally in the field related to preparing samples and collecting, organizing, and recording data. This individual will need to multitask and prioritize multiple projects as well as work and communicate with multiple project managers of diverse professional backgrounds. The position requires flexible hours, and overtime work to complete scheduled tasks.Job Requirements
High proficiency in MS Office applications with emphasis in Excel and Word. will also possibly use ppt and definitely Outlook.
Ability to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines (typical workdays end at 6 PM or later)
Excellent editing and proofreading skills
Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and ACDSee or other related digital photo programs
Excellent written and oral communication skills
High capacity for learning, retaining, and executing processes of technical nature
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently
Detail oriented and committed to producing top quality work
Outstanding poise and professionalism
Must be a team player and possess exceptional interpersonal skills
Capacity to function well under tight deadlines and various staff needs
College Degree (recent graduates will be considered)
Some experience and familiarity with CAD a plus
Responsibilities
Preparing and developing documents including letters, professional reports, and presentations
Proofreading, editing, and formatting documents
Coordinating and preparing for meetings, conference calls, etc.
Working closely as a team with other administrative associates to ensure flow of work/communication; working as needed with technician staff
Organizing workspace, office supplies, and sample storage, and coordinating equipment shipment
Performing general office and laboratory administrative duties including filing, copying, printing, etc.
Conducting routine tests in the laboratory and the field with direct supervision and participating in Quality Assurance program

This position requires visual acuity and listening ability. Individuals must have the dexterity to be able to operate office and field equipment such as computer, printer, fax, copier, telephone, voice mail system, and other office and field equipment.
Requirements may also include:
Ability to attend meetings at various office and field sites
Ability to perform inspections of buildings and other structures, both visually and with instruments
Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform work in the temperature extremes presented by work in the outdoors
Ability to read construction drawings, diagrams, printed materials and computer screens
Ability to record data clearly and write passages for reports, letters, etc.
Ability to travel
Ability to safely work at heights
Ability to safely use and/or operate ladders, scaffolds, lifts and other access equipment
Ability to understand and appreciate safety training specific to numerous workplace and construction hazards
Ability to safely work in a variety of occupationally hazardous locations
Medically fit to utilize respiratory protection devices and other forms of Personal Protective Equipment
Ability to drive and safely operate a motor vehicleEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
