## Description
The purpose of this job is to provide strategic underwriting support to the Property Lines, which include Homeowners and Special Property lines (LPP, PUP, SPP, Manufactured Home, Renters and Condo). Accountabilities include the analysis and development of underwriting guidelines that support growth and profit, with a view of ensuring the guidelines align with our strategic direction. It also includes developing improved processes across the lines to provide ease and consistency where appropriate. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Operations Risk Management department, State Managers, and FPM's in addition to PPM.
Skills needed include a broad understanding of the business and the role that underwriting strategy plays in managing these lines. In this role, you will analyze and recommend new strategies, and improvements to existing processes. Experience in underwriting, policy contracts and/or pricing is desirable. Strong ability to manage multiple work streams at the same time and effectively move work through the organization in a timely manner.
Effective interpersonal communication and presentation skills are essential in being able to present information in a manner that others, with varying degrees of risk management knowledge, will understand. Must be detail oriented, have the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with excellent organization skills.
Position Responsibilities
Assisting with the analysis and development of country-wide Risk Management policy and process.
Execution of complex projects and initiatives across the organization.
Continuous improvement of existing Risk Management/Product Operations applications.
Act as a contact for on-going Risk management process and procedural questions within the organization. Scope may include subject-matter expert level communication on risk management compliance responsibilities and best practices, requiring independent decision-making skills.
Performs and evaluates basic to moderately complex trend analysis (e.g. competitor analysis, risk management, financial)

3+ years P&C; insurance related experience or a BS in Risk Management or related field
Prior project management experience preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
